Reviews
Blea Tarn looks lovely. Very wet and muddy near the water at the moment so not easy to get to the waters edge. The tarn looks lovely from above too. There's a carpark just a couple of minutes from the Tarn, but it's a bit pricy and cash only.
A breathtaking location! It is just beautiful and you can get up close to the water and enjoy a breeze over the lake. It is a great place for a quick walk and look around. Highly recommend!
However, be aware that there is a parking fee of £5 in COINS as it is a National Trust place.
What a perfect little beautiful place this was!
Surrounded by fells under a blue sky, this was such a serene spot. You can drive up right upto the car park which is infront of it. I think that's a national trust car park though. You can just go for a swim there, have a little picnic or hike up the fell too through the forest.
Blea Tarn, is in Great Langdale, on the pass to Wrynose and one of the easiest to visit and walk around. There is a car park, for about 20 cars and can be busy at the weekends, no facilities and no overnight stay. Except to pay at least £5 for 4 hours, cash only but free for NT. Set in a beautiful part of the Lakes with the pikes surrounding the tarn. Easy walking for all abilities, however when I visited there was a large herd of beef cattle who are not bothered too much with people but were a bit inquisitive of my dog.
Great walks to explore the area, especially Lingmoor Fell.
Brutal climb to cycle. This will likely be the third in a row after Hardknott and Wrynose Pass. But views are stunning. Well worthwhile
A lovely place to visit. Peaceful, and stunning views all around. Some nice walks from the car park. Wasn't too busy when we went, but with the right weather, it makes for a lovely trip.
The car park itself only takes coins and costs £5, unless you are a National Trust Member, it is free. There is no signal for a good radius around the area.
A must visit. This small lake is just magical in any season. A small car park is right next to the lake, make sure to arrive early as limited space is available and have change as it only takes coins. You can enjoy the stroll around the lake or start one of the hikes here, e.g. Pike o’ Blisco. The lake is a bit far away from the main attractions but absolutely worth it. One of the gems that the Lakes offer.
Lovely tarn, good car park, stunning views. If you can and you have time, carry on round Blea Tarn and do the walk up and around Side Pike, you won’t regret it, you’ll get a full view of Blea Tarn and the surroundings from above.
